Hudson hospital limits visitations

Natasha Vaughn-Holdridge reports for Columbia-Greene Media that Columbia Memorial Health hospital in Hudson is limiting visitation to one healthy person per patient at a time for up to 30 minutes only during one two-hour window a day. “It certainly coincided with, and was a result of, the increase in transmission of the omicron variant in the community.” Columbia Memorial spokesman Bill VanSlyke said. “So we went from — the hours were 2 to 6 p.m. — and now they’ve been reduced to 3 to 5 p.m., one visitor at a time for 30 minutes.” The Hudson hospital currently has 26 COVID-positive patients.
