W. T. Eckert reports in The Daily Mail New Baltimore now has corrected, certified results in the town justice race. According to the original numbers produced by the Greene County Board of Elections, Republican candidate James Huff defeated Democrat Lee A. Davis for the vacant New Baltimore Town Justice seat. The board tally had Huff with 704 votes to Davis’ 515, putting Huff on top by 189 votes. But there was a miscount of 253 votes, according to both the Board of Elections, and town Republican and Democratic party leaders. With the completed recount, Davis was declared the winner, by 64 votes.
