AG's Election Protection Hotline open for calls
JeanneTyler Moodee Lockman is reporting for CNY Central the New York State Attorney General's Office has made its Election Protection Hotline available for the June 28 primary election during the early voting period, which runs from June 18 through June 26. The hotline is available to troubleshoot and resolve a range of issues encountered by voters, including voting by absentee ballot because of COVID or in-person at a polling location. Voters experiencing problems can report their situation to the AG's office by calling the hotline number at 866-390-2992, submitting a complaint online at ag [dot] ny [dot] gov, or emailing election [dot] hotline [at] ag [dot] ny [dot] gov. The hotline is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on early voting days, and between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Election Day, June 28. “As states throughout the country try to strip communities of their fundamental right to vote, we are continuing to make sure that the polls remain accessible for voters across New York,” said Attorney General Letitia James. “For years, New Yorkers have relied on our election protection hotline to address any challenges they face across the state and to provide guidance for those casting a ballot.” Read the full story at CBS6Albany [dot] com.
