TCI accuses EMC of errors and recklessness

John Mason writes in the Register Star one year since the TCI plant at Falls Industrial Road burned to the ground in an explosive fire, the company is taking issue with findings in a report issued by the Columbia County Environmental Management Council. TCI Attorney Bill Better accused the advisory group of factual and analytical errors, or recklessness and of discourtesy. The company also criticized the Council for failing to share its findings with TCI before it released the report to the public. “These errors are not only wrong with respect to the facts,” Better stated. “More important still, they lead to public policy conclusions that are not in the best interest of the county.” In response to Better's allegations, Council member Daniel Marcus of Stockport said, “We’re not backing down on our report."
