Melanie Lekocevic is reporting in The Daily Mail Coxsackie Republicans have selected their slate of candidates for the November town elections. At the top of the ticket is current Town Councilman Rick Hanse, who is seeking the Coxsackie Town Supervisor seat. Hanse's applicable experience includes a term as town councilman, work with Greene County Emergency Medical System, the Greene County Historical Society, Coxsackie Hose 3, Rotary and his church. He is a combat veteran and a member of American Legion Post 166. Greene County Legislature Chairman Wayne Speenburgh said, “I am confident that Rick will be a no-nonsense supervisor who will work with all our people to ensure our town reaches its best potential.” The caucus also chose incumbent Jeffery Lewis and local political veteran Earl Hotaling to fill two open seats on the Town Council. Incumbents Town Justice Richard Roberg, Town Clerk Bambi Hotaling and Tax Collector Linda Wilkinson were also endorsed. The Republicans have chosen not to run anyone for highway superintendent.
