Cairo, Durham schedule clean-up days
Andrea Macko is reporting for Porcupine Soup the towns of Cairo and Durham have scheduled free clean-up days for residents during the month of May. On Sat., May 1, Durham residents can bring items to the town building at 7309 State Route 81 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Allowable items include general clean-up waste, furniture, appliances, electronics and no more than 10 tires. Household garbage, construction and demolition debris, paint, pesticides, hazardous materials, and vehicles are not allowed. The clean-up day is open to town of Durham residents, only. Identification is required as proof of residency. Clean-up day in Cairo is Sat., May 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the town highway garage at 755 State Route 145. Residents may bring general clean-up waste, furniture, appliances, electronics and no more than four tires. Household garbage, construction and demolition debris, paint, pesticides or hazardous materials are not permitted.
