The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Mid-Hudson Valley, Capital Region and Southern Taconics, from noon to 6 p.m., Fri., Apr. 5. The warning calls for gusty winds and low relative humidity. Northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph, and temperatures in the 50s are forecast. A Red Flag Warning means dangerous fire conditions are expected due to the combination of gusty winds, low humidity and dry fuels. Any fires that develop may quickly get out of control and become difficult to contain.
