Improve our broadband - Take the speed test!

Click this image to access the site."][/caption]Columbia Economic Development Corporation is encouraging local residents to participate in a simple online speed test to help ensure accuracy and completeness of the local broadband map. An online speed test can be found at www.nyspeedtest.org. The results will help to facilitate deployment of high speed Internet, increasing economic competitiveness and quality of life for rural communities. New York State has received a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) for broadband mapping and planning activities. Mapping broadband speeds of New York State residents is included in these activities.
