Jefferson may go solar
May 18, 2014 12:01 am
Liz Page reports in The Mountain Eagle that Jefferson is considering partnering with other Schoharie County towns to employ solar energy. Jefferson Town Board members approved a motion at a May 8 meeting to join in an energy audit with Four Corners Energy LLC, an Albany firm working with other municipalities as well as Schoharie County officials to develop solar projects for increased energy efficiency in the county. Four Corners is attempting, "to get as many involved as possible as incentive to an energy company to bid on a larger package, thus reducing the cost to each municipality and offering more power to the electric grid."
