Matthew Hamilton reports in Capitol Confidential that supporters of a constitutional convention in New York are now airing statewide television ads in favor of the ballot proposition. On Nov. 7, voters will choose whether or not to hold a convention that could rewrite major law in New York. The advertisements cite many newspaper editorials -- including one from the Albany Times Union -- in favor of holding a convention, as well as testimony from Heather Allison Waters, the volunteer membership director of the Syracuse League of Women Voters.
