Local schools elect board members and voters decide on approving, or not, school budgets at elections on May 16. Each school district has its own times and hours, so check your district for that information. Most voting is at one of the schools in the district, but sometimes are at outside locations. Several schools are closing early for students May 16, to make room for the voting. Most districts have extensive information about the proposed budgets on their websites, and the WGXC Newsroom has information about most of the candidates running for board seats. WGXC will have election results on May 17.
