Rick Karlin reports for Capitol Confidential that Talk 1300 host Fred Dicker is off the air for now. Station operator Paul Vandenburgh said the host is dealing with an illness that has struck someone close to him. “He’ll be back in some capacity,” although not another hour-long show like the one he just stopped hosting at 10 a.m., said Vandenburgh. Dicker, a conservative, has been on the air in the capitol area since 1997, but lately has often been hosting the Albany-based show from Florida.
