Aug 16, 2013 9:27 am
John Mason reports in the Register Star the new pumper truck for Hudson's J.W. Hoysradt Company will be delivered Oct. 1. The issue presented during the Common Council meeting Mon., Aug. 12, was how to pay for it. Following a lengthy discussion, members decided to bond the full purchase price of $506,000. The final decision will be made at the Council's Aug. 21 meeting. The truck is a state of the art vehicle, with a stainless steel body so rust won’t happen, according to Fire Committee Chairman Nick Haddad. The new pumper will replace a truck purchased in 1993, which will now be put on the market for $36,000. Read the full story in the Register Star.
