Czajka, Keeler endorsed by county Republicans

Arthur Cusano is reporting in the Register Star Columbia County District Attorney Paul Czajka (CH-eye-kah) has been endorsed by the Columbia County Republican Committee for a second, consecutive term. Czajka, 61, a former county judge, first served as district attorney in the late 80s and early 90s. He was born in Hudson and raised on his family’s dairy farm in Livingston, where he still resides. “The people of Columbia County and the Republican Party have honored me by electing my as district attorney three times and county judge twice, and I wish to continue to serve them for as long as I possibly can,” Czajka said, Thu., May 28. The county GOP also endorsed P.J. Keeler for a second, two-year term as county treasurer. Keeler, 65, also serves as the county EMS coordinator. He was born and raised on a dairy farm in Greenport, and is the owner and operator of Hallmark stores in Greenport, Catskill, Albany and Kingston. “I enjoy serving the public with my business experience, and I think they entrusted me to work diligently and efficiently with taxpayer dollars,” Keeler said Thursday.
