Bloomberg opening Poughkeepsie campaign office

Katelyn Cordero reports in the Poughkeepsie Journal that ahead of the April 28 New York primary vote, the 2020 presidential election has finally come to the Hudson Valley. Mike Bloomberg's campaign announced he is opening a campaign office on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie soon. Canvassing for Dutchess, Ulster, Putnam, Orange, Sullivan, Broome, Columbia, Delaware, Green, Montgomery, Otsego, and Schoharie counties will be run out of the office. Otherwise, Dutchess County Sheriff Butch Anderson was again named a member of Trump's New York election team earlier this year. And there have been a few house parties for Bernie Sanders, but not much other presidential candidate action in the Hudson Valley so far this year. In 2016, both Sanders and Donald Trump held large rallies in the Hudson Valley, while Chelsea Clinton appeared for her mother. Read more about this story in the Poughkeepsie Journal.
