Rensselaer Orchestra and Concert Choir under the direction of Arts Lecturer Nicholas Demaison perform with members of the Albany Symphony for a collaborative, side-by-side performance. The Rensselaer Concert Choir will perform selections of choral folk music, then be joined by the Rensselaer Orchestral Brass for old-world antiphonal favorites by Palestrina and Gabrieli. Following intermission, the Orchestra, with members of the Albany Symphony, will perform Antonin Dvorák's Symphony No.9, "From the New World," composed in 1893 while Dvorák was the director of the National Conservatory in New York City.
