The Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the Center for Curatorial Studies (CCS), Bard College present the world premiere of "Speakers That Speak To You" by scholar, rythymanalyst, and music artist DeForrest Brown, Jr. The performance is the culmination of Brown's week-long residency at EMPAC. The performance operates as a jumping-off point for the artist's next album, a project he anticipates to follow the forthcoming Fall 2023 release of "Techxodus" with his music label Planet Mu. The two-hour listening session will be conducted in EMPAC's Studio 1-Goodman and double as a recording session for his next prospective album.
