An evening of readings by novelists Lara Tupper and Alexis Schaitkin. Alexis Schaitkin’s debut novel, Saint X, was named one of the 100 notable books of 2020 by the New York Times and has been translated into seven languages. Her short stories have been anthologized in The Best American Short Stories and The Best American Nonrequired Reading. She received her MFA in fiction from the University of Virginia, where she was a Henry Hoyns Fellow. She lives in Williamstown, Massachusetts, with her husband and son. alexisschaitkin.com Lara Tupper is the author of three books: Amphibians, a story collection (Leapfrog Press; winner, Leapfrog Global Fiction Prize), Off Island, an historical fiction (Encircle), and A Thousand and One Nights, an autobiographical novel (Harcourt and Untreed Reads). She taught creative writing for many years at Rutgers University and now presents workshops in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts.
