Violinist Lara St. John will play a program of women composers and works by Bach in concert to benefit the June workshop of "Penelope and the Geese," a new opera, which is a feminist retelling of the Odyssey, by composer Milica Paranosic and librettist Cheri Magid. St. John was invested with the Order of Canada in 2020. She performs on the “Ex-Salabue” Guadagnini from Turin (1779).
