Rachael and Vilray perform the same sort of mid-20th century jazzy pop familiar to fans of Rachael’s jazzy, soulful pop outfit Lake Street Dive. Rachael Price and Vilray met at the New England Conservatory of Music in fall 2003 and became friends. Their sound recalls both the warmth of radio’s golden age and the intimacy of parlor concerts in a time before recordings.
