Literacy Connections’ volunteers shine the light that drives away the darkness of illiteracy. No previous teaching experience is necessary, only a love of reading, and a desire to share the gift of literacy. New volunteers are required to attend a free orientation session, and complete the training modules online. Trained volunteers are provided ongoing support as they work with students and classes. The follow-up session is scheduled for Tuesday, November 20 from 6–8 p.m. at the same location.
