Catskill/Hudson-based dark carnival band Dust Bowl Faeries perform some new songs and a selection of their dark cabaret favorites. Albany-based poet R.M. Engelhardt will be opening the show with a short reading of poems set to music. Masks are required. Dust Bowl Faeries is a dark-carnival band from the New York Hudson Valley. Their eclectic repertoire of songs draw inspiration from circus, post-punk and Eastern European folk music. Accordion, singing saw, ukulele, acoustic guitar, and percussion combine to create the Dust Bowl Faeries sound. Through his ideas and visions he has helped to create a large amount of the Upstate/Albany, NY spoken word~poetry scene.
