In this three-hour workshop students will learn to mix and maintain a chemical-free indigo vat using only sugar and natural materials, as well as the basics of shibori, a Japanese resist technique that uses folding, binding, and stitching to create patterns on cloth, and how to select and prepare fabric for dyeing with indigo.
