Award-winning film director Mark Becker will share his work in an Artist Talk. Following a screening of his documentary film, "Pressure Cooker," Becker will talk about the documentary and his work as a film artist. "Pressure Cooker" captures a moment in time, as high school seniors - on the brink of adulthood - battle for achievement against a backdrop of uninspiring opportunities, with a determined and irreverent mentor leading the way. The film was nominated for an Emmy for Nonfiction Filmmaking in 2010 and won awards at seven film festivals before opening theatrically in May 2009. This free community event is sponsored by the Experimental Television Center’s Presentation Funds program, which is supported by the New York State Council on the Arts.
