“VETS” is an achingly beautiful and personal series of photographs. William Wright primarily uses portraits as his starting point. His photographs evoke and unveil truths in his subjects that transcend the light of everyday life. We see the familiar, but it is rendered extraordinary. Spencertown Academy Arts Center presents William Wright’s “VETS: Portraits of Veterans of War” photography exhibition. The show will open with a festive reception on Saturday, October 19 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, with catering by Culinary Command graduating student chefs and a brief program with the artist and the sponsors of Culinary Command at 5:00pm. The exhibition will remain on display through Sunday, December 15; gallery hours will be posted soon on the Academy’s website. Admission is free.
