The densely growing Water Chestnut can effectively choke a body of water and shade out native aquatic plants, limiting recreation and habitat. Water Chestnuts must be removed every year before it can drop another round of seeds. Learn how to remove these aquatic plants and dispose of them properly. We’ll pull out the plants from the shore and from the water by boat. We’ll provide waders (in a variety of sizes), gloves, and canoes/kayaks. If you have your own, bring them along! Come for one, two, or all five days. Please wear old clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. Snacks and beverages provided. Free.
