The Athens Citizens Development Committee presents a mini film festival celebrating Athens' forgotten son, Crane Wilbur. Born in Athens in 1886, Wilbur became one of the world's most popular film stars in the early 20th century and went on to write, direct, and star in numerous film and stage works. From the 1930s to the 1960s he wrote and directed prison films, police procedurals, and B-horror flicks. This event takes place at Crossroads Brewing Co, which was formerly the Brooks Opera House where Wilbur performed locally. Featuring "Yellow Cargo"(1936), "I was a Communist for the FBI"(1951), and "Tomorrow's Children"(1934).
