Open four-week workshop with Yura Adams, at the Athens Cultural Center, Mondays from 6 - 8:30 pm. (July 25th, August 1, August 8th, and August 15th). Yura Adams leads a new workshop for teen artists interested in developing their artistic voice and creating a strong portfolio for submission to colleges or other institutions. Topics will include editing, how to photograph work, rounding out the portfolio, and otherwise preparing the portfolio for submission including specific requirements of schools and other institutions. Studio projects will include painting, drawing, and design and will be directed towards developing a cohesive portfolio. All mediums are invited: painting, drawing, photograph, installation, and video. Instructor Yura Adams holds and MFA and BFA from the San Francisco Arts Institute and has teaching experience at IS183, CGCC, and Rhode Island School of Design.
