The Hudson-based Haitian Community Development Project will hold a benefit for medical relief to the people of Les Cayes, the center of destruction following the 7.2-magnitude earthquake on August 14. The evening will include a short video presentation by Carline Murphy, host of WGXC’s Li Le, Li Tan, and live Haitian troubadour jazz by Michael LeMorin with Azouke Legba and Friends, followed by a Haitian dance party with DJ Neva, host of WGXC’s Music for the Masses. This event is the first in a series of "Fun-raisers for the Common Good." All proceeds benefit CapraCare (capracare.org), a Haitian-led non-profit organization providing disaster relief and medical care in Les Cayes. Masks required per COVID-19 protocol.
