Presented by GREEN (Greene Renewable Energy and Environmental Network), guest speaker Toshia Hance of Oneida County will make a presentation on fracking and how to protect communities. Hance spearheaded a door-to-door campaign that resulted in 22 out of 26 townships in Oneida County enacting bans and/or moratoria on fracking and its related activities. She has also assisted other communities to do the same, including the town of Westerlo, which just extended its moratorium. Hance is a graduate of Syracuse University and a former multimedia design engineering specialist for Lockheed Martin.
