The Carey Institute for Global Good will begin the 2014 Carey Dialogues series with a timely program that examines the oft-conflicting needs of national security and a free press, at a time technology is creating the means to surpass many government secrecy measures. Only viewable with a password supplied by film producers, on January 11th the Carey Institute for Global Good will stream “Mediastan,” which presents Julian Assange’s side of the intense debate sparked by his release of secret U.S. military and diplomatic documents to the press through WikiLeaks three years ago.
