TapRoot Sessions Outdoor Concert Series begins with Riverbend Retreat. Bring a chair or blanket for outdoor seating. In the event of rain, the concert will move inside with distanced seating. Riverbend Retreat perform a repertoire built of Oldtime, Celtic, folk standards and a few covers of contemporary Americana, RiverBend Retreat delights with simple and heartfelt arrangements. Melodies and harmonies are represented by Erika Ludwig (fiddle), Diane Barth (flute, recorder) and Steve Hyer (mandolin) and are supported by plucky rhythm from Patty Melville (banjo) and Lynne Chmurzynski (guitar). Each one of these Berkshire locals brings the experience of an artistic life (they are painters, jewelers, graphic artists and cultural junkies) to this microcosm of a music group. Their musical colors, textures and arrangements reflect the artistic depth of their other life endeavors.
