Poetry...and Such is an evening of original poetry on nature, humor, whimsy, fantasy, joy, loss, and grief. The "Such" part of the program will include memoir and the small bits and pieces that writing engenders along the way. Frances Roth writes poetry and short fiction and enjoys performing her spoken-word pieces for an audience. She led a poetry read-around group at the Bushnell-Sage library for two years as well as presenting readings by local poets. Her poems have been published in The Berkshire Edge, Avocet and Dark Matter, and one was set to music and performed by Crescendo at St. James Place. Sarah Tames has theatre in her bones, and from that everything else follows. Sarah taught English and theatre for 28 years, directed plays and musicals, and performed with various professional and amateur companies. Her poetry has been percolating for some years, and she looks forward to bringing her performance experience to this reading.
