From chants broadcast illegally on ANC radio to the songs of international recording artists, "Rockin' the Boat - The Long Road to Freedom (1996) hosted by Nona Hendryx and produced by Elly Wininger and Jennifer Ryan, interweaves music with various interviews that chronicle the journey of South Africa's struggle in ending apartheid. Featured are the voices of ANC Cultural Ambassador Pal Jordan and singers/activists Miriam Makeba, Johnny Clegg, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, among others.
