Ahmed el Shaer is a video artist/video game artist from Cairo, Egypt, currently in residence at the Art Omi International Artists Residency. His videos combine Machinima, stock footage, 3D animation and experimental soundscapes. In this interview, he discusses his own practice at length, and addresses the challenges he faced while attempting to get a visa in order to attend Omi.
