Carl Hancock Rux
Carl Hancock Rux is a playwright whose works include Geneva Cottrell Waiting for the Dog to Die, which has been performed at such New York venues as Actor's Playhouse, Mabou Mines, Aaron Davis Hall, as well as at the Woodstock Jazz Festival, the American Church of Paris (France), The University of Ghana (West Africa) and the National Institute for the Arts in Abidjan (Ivory Coast, West Africa). A recipient of the 1994/95 Fresh Poet's Award, Rux is also published in several periodicals, journals, and the new anthology Aloud: Voices from the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe. (1994 American Book Award).
