The Swinging Bridge at Palenville, NY, lasted for more than a century, until it was washed away by Hurricane Irene in August, 2011. This broadcast includes a history of the bridge, presented by Crane Davis, and a panel hosted by Jill Burkholder with three residents – Rich Ruby, Betty Gigante and Eugene Edwards – discussing the role the bridge played in the life of the hamlet.
