Wave Farm's WGXC 90.7-FM is pleased to present a special extended broadcast featuring sounds from The Marfa Sessions (September 2008 - February 2009). Curated by Regine Basha, Rebecca Gates, and Lucy Raven, The Marfa Sessions was a series of sound projects embedded within the public spaces and private corners of Marfa to create a sonic portrait of this unusual West Texas town. Ballroom Marfa, the exhibition’s headquarters, featured a visitors center sound hub, hosting artworks and providing information and maps that pointed to the sound projects throughout the town. The eleven works in the exhibition included already extant pieces adapted for installation in public spaces throughout Marfa, and five new site-specific works were specially commissioned by Ballroom Marfa and created by: Kaffe Matthews; Nina Katchadourian; Christina Kubich; Deborah Stratman & Steven Badgett; Steve Roden & Stephen Vitiello; and Steve Rowell with Simparch.

Included in this broadcast are:
David Toop and Josh Kun in conversation: Introduction by Lucy Raven.
Nina Katchadourian - The Marfa Jingles
Steve Rowell & Simparch – “TX AUX IN” excerpt.
Kaffe Matthews "YELLOW" Sonic Bed Marfa: Kaffe Matthews and music for bodies.
Steve Roden and Stephen Vitiello Chinati Performance.
Steve Roden and Stephen Vitiello “from perfect cubes to broken trains” installation recording.
KRTS Marfa Public Radio Talk at Ten Interviews: Regine Basha and Nina Katchadourian; Deborah Stratman and Steve Badgett; Kaffe Matthews; Steve Rowell; Steve Roden and Stephen Vitiello
The Marfa Sessions Guest Signature Book (edit): In lieu of the classic gallery visitor guest book, we asked visitors to record into a cassette recorder.
