Craryville gas station closer to approval

Amanda Purcell reports for Columbia-Greene Media that plans for a proposed convenience store with 12 gasoline pumps at the intersection of Routes 7 and 23 in Craryville were modified again at the town's Planning Board meeting Dec. 6. Wholesale Gasoline and Oil Company, of Millerton, wants to put the gas station on the 1.7-acre Columbia County parcel, where a supermarket used to house a different sort of commerce. More than 40 residents showed up Dec. 6, including several members of the "Save Craryville" group formed in opposition to the project, but the project made further progress towards approval.
