Dec 13, 2012 8:09 am
The Ichabod Crane Central School District is reporting voters approved the district's $7 million building project referendum, Wed., Dec. 12. The plan for building improvements and technological upgrades passed on a vote of 499 to 147. According to a statement posted at the district's Web site, Interim Superintendent Lee A. Bordick said Ichabod's current needs exceed those covered in the plan; however, "the district is mindful of the financial conditions of the state and the burden to the residents. Additional taxes will not be needed to fund this project." The priorities addressed by the plan were identified in a building condition survey completed this summer. A summary of the issues to be addressed by the project can be found online at Ichabod Crane [dot] org.
