Diamonds are a town's best friend

Jim Planck reports in The Daily Mail the Catskill Town Board unanimously approved an application for $500,000 in state grant funding to continue upgrades at Ricky Cramer Field in Jefferson Heights, Tues., July 3. The proposed addition includes the construction of a second baseball diamond, a walkway behind the existing field and an extension of the parking area. If funding is approved, the state will cover 75 percent of the total cost. The field is owned by the town and shared with Little League-Jr./Sr. Divisions, American Legion Baseball and the Catskill Central School District. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
