Hudson, and Columbia County, has a high percentage of artists

Alicia Biggs reports in The Albany Times-Union that Hudson, New York has a higher concentration of artists than every other county in the United States except Brooklyn and Taos County, N.M., according to a study released two years ago by the Regional Alliance for the Creative Economy. All together, creative jobs such as design, media, visual arts and handcrafted products, performing arts, and heritage and preservation made up 3.7 percent of workers, or 23,936 jobs, in the Capitol Region, the study said.
