The National Weather Service in Albany has declared a Flood Watch for northwestern Connecticut, western Massachusetts, east central New York and southern Vermont beginning noon, Thursday through Friday afternoon. Rain with embedded thunderstorms are expected to spread northeast across eastern New York and western New England Thursday afternoon and evening, and continuing Thursday night. Widespread rain should exit eastern New York and western New England Friday morning. Rainfall amounts between one and four inches are possible. Localized amounts of three to four inches of rain are possible especially around the high peaks of the eastern Catskills and southern Adirondacks.
