The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from 6 p.m., Monday to 8 p.m., Tuesday for the eastern Catskills, Mid-Hudson Valley, central and southern Taconics and the Berkshires. Snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches, along with one tenth to one quarter inch of ice is expected. Snow is forecast to fall around one inch per hour Monday night and Tuesday morning. Wind gusts up to 30 mph expected. A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
