John Mason in the Register-Star reports that Oct. 7 mayoral candidates William H. Hallenbeck Jr., the incumbent Republican, and Tiffany Martin Hamilton, the Democratic challenger, "spoke cordially but differed on a range of topics," on a on-air discussion on the “Something to Talk About” show hosted by County Clerk Holly Tanner and Justin Weaver on WGXC (90.7-FM). The two canidates discussed parking, the waterfront, taxes, activities for youth, and other issues. The paper reports there are debates between the two scheduled for Oct. 14 and Oct. 28.
