Local farmer stung by frost

Photo from farm's website."][/caption]While state legislators consider help, Dale Baker from Don Baker Farms in Hudson knows his crop has been hurt by this spring's weather including a major late frost. In an interview with Noah Reibel on the "WGXC Afternoon Show." Baker also discusses the changing weather this past decade, and what that has meant to his apple and pear trees. A bill in the New York State Senate, the “Family Farmers and Apple Growers Relief Act,” would establish a tax credit for farmers to claim 35 percent of their losses due to the frost this spring.
