Fliers left on doorsteps of LGBTQ community in Beacon

MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting a member of the Beacon City Council expressed outrage after Ku Klux Klan fliers were found last weekend on the doorsteps of members of the LGBTQ community. The fliers included a KKK imagine and the word “death.” The fliers contained anti-abortion messages and the word “death” next to “Planned Parenthood.” “Unfortunately, a first-grader of one of those families found the letter,” Councilman Terry Nelson said. “This has to stop. You have to stop doing this. To the coward who left those fliers, myself and a bunch of other people are allies of the LBGTQ community and just know that there are more of us than there are of you.” According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the American Christian Dixie Knights of the Ku Klux Klan are active statewide in New York.
