New York State Department of Transportation Public Information Officer Bryan Viggiani said the Greene County bridges are included in Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s program of upgrades and retrofits. The Route 42 bridge in Lexington carries an average of 850 vehicles per day. The 123-foot-long steel-truss span was constructed in 1928, and serves as a connector between Route 23A and Route 28.
