In 2012 Vieux Farka Toure of Mali joined with the Israeli musician/pianist Idan Raichel to record an album of music based on West African tradition and various other genres. They then recorded a second album in 2014. We present music from both of those albums today.
Music from around the world is featured. Bringing the audience into the realm of other cultures through music, hopefully expanding empathy for the “other”, and recognizing that “other” in ourselves.
