Independence Party picks Armstrong

Kyle Adams is reporting in The Daily Mail Les Armstrong is now the Independence Party  candidate in the November general election for the Durham seat on the Greene County Legislature. Armstrong and incumbent Patricia Handel deadlocked at 13 to 13 for the line following the Sept. 13 primary, leaving the final decision to the committee. “Primarily, our party’s about change and choice,” said George Acker, Independence chair, about why they chose the Cornwallville elk farmer. The decision, made by the party executive committee, was unanimous. Handel is running for re-election on both the Republican and Conservative lines. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
